5 Months: Party Party Party. Wow.

I might be overdoing myself, but my back says i'm ok! I went to the Ultra Music Festival in miami this weekend, a three day rave... I basically stood and jumped for 8 hours straight each day. After that I went out with my buddies and had more drinks until 5am. My back is still ok! I went to the gym today and I did biceps and back exercises. Again, back is doing great!

ANOTHER Jog. This time 10 minutes.

So i'm kinda getting the hang of this. I took a 10 minute jog yesterday and did some weight lifting. No pain, only pure bliss. I'm still taking it very easy and plan on doing this jogging thing once a week only. I could just walk briskly, you know.. but at least I know I can run if I had to. So in summary, I can jog without any adverse effects.

Another jog today!

I took another 5 minute jog today, 3 degree incline at 6 mph. IT FELT GREAT. After that I did some more weight lifting. I'm a lot more conscious of my back now so i'm not putting any unnecessary pressure on it.

MY FIRST JOG!

Hello everyone. I'm happy to announce that I took my first jog 3 days ago. 5 whole minutes running at 6 miles/hr on a treadmill with a 3 degree incline. I was absolutely painless. I didn't feel any pressure on my back during or after. It felt great!!! I'm planning on doing 10 minutes tomorrow and gradually up to 20. Someone asked me if I would do this operation again.. Hands down, YES. If I ever have any issues with any other levels I wouldn't hesitate for one second. My pain levels range from 0 to 1/10.. but mostly 0/10. Sitting tolerance is about 2 hours before I need to take a walk or lie down for 2 minutes. I've started doing weightlifting. I'm not doing free-weights yet but I am doing general body work like legs, chest, arms, and back on standing machines. I WILL NOT be doing squats. All my muscles are sore and it couldn't feel better! I missed this feeling. I've also been partying just about every weekend without any consequences the day af

4 Months, 6 days Post-op:

Ok so I still haven't started doing any running, although I do feel like I could. I'm joining the gym once I get my shoulder fixed.. I have an impingement syndrome which I have to take care of first. Once that's done, i'm off to the gym to do some weights (no squats yet!) and light running. I'm not going to the levels of weight lifting that I used to do before (very excessive body building) but I do want to get back in an athletic shape. As for my scar: Not too shabby! That was 3 months post-op and it has improved a little since. I went to mardi gras last weekend. Partied my butt off. Had a tiny bit of pain afterwards (on the bone, not sciatica) but it settled in a few hours. I'm back in Miami doing my thing (working on a desk). Let me know if you have any questions.
